Hike to rajmachi

Camp Status: Optional
Time & Place of Departure from Pune: 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, 30th December 2006 at Pune Railway Station
Time & Place of Arrival back in Pune: 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, 31st December 2006 at Pune Railway Station
Camp Fees: Rs. 250/-
Campsite: Rajmachi village. We will reach lonavla by a local train from Pune and then head towards the Rajmachi village, which will be approximately a 6 hours walk through the woods.
Accommodation: Either a temple (which we use most of the times we go) or the village.


Kit List:

1. Moderately heavy breakfast for Saturday morning (All remaining meals will be provided)
2. 1.5 liters of water
   
3. Plate, Spoon & Cup
4. Sturdy pair of shoes
5. Bags should only be haversacks ***Please do not carry any other form of baggage
6. Bedding (preferably sleeping bags)
7. Winter Jacket or Sweater (try to get one which won't occupy too much volume)
8. 2 pairs of socks, undergarments & one pair of extra clothes for Sunday
9. Torch (buy new batteries)
10. Scout Rope
    
11. Toilet Kit
12. 1 notebook or diary & some stationary

Very Important:

• Please do not carry any other unnecessary stuff & make sure some space is left in your bag. This is because we will need to carry the raw material for cooking which will be distributed among everyone.

• Personal medicines, if any, should be brought along with their prescription

We shall meet in school tomorrow (Friday) at 9:00 a.m. to give some instructions & for handing over the "no objection" letter to be signed by your parents. Also carry the camp fees so that we can purchase the supplies for the camp.
